Wednesday Wishes

So this WW is for February releases!! Yeah!

Normally I don’t do books that are coming out for the month, but I think it might be a good idea to do so. Because there’s some goodies this month.

Straight up these have all been on WW and mentioned many times before. But they need to be mentioned again.

Best part they’ve all been released.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

red-queenRelease Date: February 10th, 2015
Get it: Amazon | Goodreads
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
Series: Red Queen Trilogy, book 1

The poverty stricken Reds are commoners, living under the rule of the Silvers, elite warriors with god-like powers.

To Mare Barrow, a 17-year-old Red girl from The Stilts, it looks like nothing will ever change.

Mare finds herself working in the Silver Palace, at the centre of
those she hates the most. She quickly discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy Silver control.

But power is a dangerous game. And in this world divided by blood, who will win?

This has been on my WW multiple times. There are really mixed reviews out there, but I still lust.

The Glass Arrow by Kristen Simmons

glass-arrowRelease Date: February 10th, 2015
Get it: Amazon | Goodreads
Genre: Young Adult Dystopian
Series: N/A

The Handmaid’s Tale meets Blood Red Road in Glass Arrow, the story of Aya, who lives with a small group of women on the run from the men who hunt them, men who want to auction off breeding rights to the highest bidder.

In a world where females are scarce and are hunted, then bought and sold at market for their breeding rights, 15-year old Aya has learned how to hide. With a ragtag bunch of other women and girls, she has successfully avoided capture and eked out a nomadic but free existence in the mountains. But when Aya’s luck runs out and she’s caught by a group of businessmen on a hunting expedition, fighting to survive takes on a whole new meaning.

Oh, my! Yep not only has this title been on WW multiple times, but it also made it on my Top 10 Anticipated Book of 2015! I have such high hopes for this book.

The Sin Eater’s Daughter by Melinda Salisbury

the-sin-eaters-daughterRelease Date: February 5th, 2015
Get it: Amazon | Goodreads
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
Series: The Sin Eater’s Daughter, book 1

Seventeen-year-old Twylla lives in the castle. But although she’s engaged to the prince, Twylla isn’t exactly a member of the court.

She’s the executioner.

As the Goddess embodied, Twylla instantly kills anyone she touches. Each month she’s taken to the prison and forced to lay her hands on those accused of treason. No one will ever love a girl with murder in her veins. Even the prince, whose royal blood supposedly makes him immune to Twylla’s fatal touch, avoids her company.
But then a new guard arrives, a boy whose easy smile belies his deadly swordsmanship. And unlike the others, he’s able to look past Twylla’s executioner robes and see the girl, not the Goddess. Yet Twylla’s been promised to the prince, and knows what happens to people who cross the queen.
However, a treasonous secret is the least of Twylla’s problems. The queen has a plan to destroy her enemies, a plan that requires a stomach-churning, unthinkable sacrifice. Will Twylla do what it takes to protect her kingdom? Or will she abandon her duty in favor of a doomed love?

Another one from not only WW, but Top 10 Anticipated Book of 2015! While I sneaked it under as an honorable mention.
