It’s funny it seems like there’s always a rush of new covers towards the end of the year! Either way I’m happy with it. There’s some pretty awesome ones.

11992012 Series: Elementals, book 1

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Urban Fantasy

Shera’s thoughts:

All right I like it. It looks like her hair is supposed to be blowing in the wind, but it kind of look likes it’s caught up. As someone with long hair I feel her pain.

Overall I love the white look and I wonder if they’ll be doing other colors to coincide with the elements? As I think this one is air.

A Criminal Magic by Lee Kelly

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

23447887 Series: N/A

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Urban Fantasy

Shera’s thoughts:

This is what gives inanimate objects on covers a bad name!

That said I do like what they cover artist was going for. It’s an awesome idea. One of seen done on a few Epic Fantasy covers.

So it’s nice to see the wine glass to modern it up a bit.

The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

25203675 Series: N/A

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy

Shera’s thoughts:

Freaking. Love. It.

Ah! OK the way the starry night sky is surrounding her and then there’s a horizon with a castle! it’s perfection. I will admit there is something slightly off about her and the lantern, but it’s still awesome.

YA fantasy has been getting some amazing covers lately, and I cant’ wait to see more!

Earth’s End by Elise Kova

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

26760091 Series: Air Awakens, book 3

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy

Shera’s thoughts:

Speaking of amazing YA Fantasy covers, I adore the covers for this series. and this one is pretty awesome!

I hope the author get to keep having this artist do her covers, because they’re amazing!

Acne, Asthma and Other Signs You Might be a Half Dragon by Rena Rocford

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

486498484 Series: N/A

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Paranormal Young Adult

Shera’s thoughts:

Love-love-love the art!! It’s stunning. But what were they thinking with the title?

Besides the title not fitting the art work, the typography is hard to read and it’s not well done. The title was too long and they didn’t want to cover up some of the lovely artwork. Sadly they had to blur the thorns, which would have pulled in her thorn crown in a bit more.

Bluescreen by Dan Wells

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

bluescreen Series: Mirador, book 1

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Young Adult Science Fiction

Shera’s thoughts:

Wow!! Looks like YA sci-fi are also getting amazing cover.

Man I love metal arm and her outfit, the city scape! The topography is so cool!

If the synopsis and author weren’t enough to suck me in, then this cover alone would have me sold.

Either way I want it NOW!

Ghost Talker by Robin D. Owens

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

Ghost Talker Series: Ghost Seer, book 4

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Shera’s thoughts:

Love her look! She’s ready for action.

However the Photoshop on her face is off. Not to mention the funky way they made her boobs look and general chest area.

Love the way these covers all clearly have a tie in to each other. The seer circle, thing, and the lovely scenery backgrounds.

How to Hang a Witch by Adriana Mather

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

How to Hang a Witch Series: N/A

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Paranormal Young Adult

Shera’s thoughts:

Wow!! What a cover to end this post on. it’s amazing. I’ve always had a weakness for foggy/rainy glass looks. It’s one of my things.

Many covers have tried the look, and many have failed.

This is perfection and I love how the typography and the girl gazing in looks.
